Orenburg State Medical University has three main hostels. These are considered to be a second home for all young international students coming from various countries.

University provides favourable conditions in the hostels as all the rooms are well-furnished, equipped with the entire list of basic amenities that are required for a comfortable living. Rooms for organizations and running of events, sports areas, and household rooms with all necessary equipment, personal hygiene rooms, libraries and cloak-rooms are available on-campus.

One of the preferences of University’s management is educational & social work with students. Organizing cultural or frolic activities on-campus is the habit of University. Department of Educational & Social Work takes this responsibility on its shoulders.

ORSUM has a Sports club (opened in 2013), which is responsible for organization & improvement of sports work within students, promotion of healthy lifestyle and upgrading of sportsmanship among the students. Sport club runs 12 sports leagues such as aerobics, swimming, basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, athletics, table tennis, skiing, chess, etc.

Besides all these sports activities, University also believes in organizing the various extra-curricular activities for the entertainment purpose, which plays a significant role in the personality development of students.

• The city of Orenburg is located in southwest Russia, near the border with Kazakhstan.
• The Russian Empire had begun expanding its reign in Asia starting with constructing the fortress city- Orenburg, on its eastern border. In order to sort this, a settlement was marked in 1735 at the place where ‘Or’ and the ‘Ural’ rivers cross.
• Economic sectors of the city are fuel, ferrous & non-ferrous, metal extractions, chemicals, oil chemical & food industries and Agriculture (crops growing & cattle breeding).
• The city has Orenburg History Museum has an antique cannon & regional exhibits. Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts showcasing traditional lace shawls & Russian paintings, Drama Theatres, St. Nicholas Cathedral; are some of the major attractions of the place.
• The city has a dry humid continental climatic conditions with very long & hot summers and long & cold winters. Transition months are April and October.
• It has a major railway centre ever since the Samara-Zlatoust & Orenburg Tashkent railroads were completed in 1876 and 1905. It also has its Orenburg Tsentralny Airport located about 25 km east of the city, on the Orsk destination. Public transports include Buses, Trolleybuses and Fixed-route taxis.
• Popular food corners of Orenburg are Pirogi, Stolle, Russkiye Bliny, Chapai, Incontro and an Indian food restaurant- Tortoffi bez Sakhara, etc.

The university provides accommodation on twin sharing basis for boys and girls separately. Apart from hostel accommodation, the university also provides the option for private accommodation. The hostel provides 2 kitchens for students who want to cook. Apart from local traditional food, the canteen serves multiple cuisines including Indian, Malaysian, and Chinese and Arabic cuisine. Student’s security is a major concern for the university; therefore the hostels are under continuous surveillance.

The university provides various opportunities and lectures to its students so that they can realise their ambitions. The university has an International Center where all the activities and programs take place.

The university organises annual functions every year and encourages students to participate in the folk dance group – “Youth”. For physical activity, the university offers various sports such as football, skiing, swimming, gymnasium, etc.

• The city of Simferopol also spelt as Symferopol, is the largest and capital city of Crimea. The city is situated in the south-central region of the Crimean Peninsula.
• The city was established in the year 1917 and was considered as the chief town of the province of Tavriya (Taurida), the Crimea peninsula until the 1917 Revolution.

Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU) has 4 hostels that provide comfortable accommodation to all International students. All the rooms are well furnished with basic amenities such as beds, cupboards and many more. The kitchen is available on every floor of the hostel where students can cook food for themselves.

For security purposes, all the 4 hostels are under the control of a warden.

There is a reading hall for students to study in every hostel. For physical training of students, the university has a gymnasium and fitness hall.

Every year the university organizes various cultural programs where students are encouraged to take part in it. The university has an association for all the Indian students studying at Bashkir State Medical University, where they celebrate various Indian festivals such as Diwali, Holi, Baisakhi, etc along with other students.

BSMU conducts various sports tournaments such as football, basketball, an international tournament of Cricket, badminton, etc. The university has a library which has more than 500000 books, among which 85% of them are of special medical literature. The library offers 4 specialized reading halls with 252 seats and a local net.

During summers, the university conducts a summer sports camp for all the students at the picturesque bank of the Belaya River.

• Ufa is the capital city of Bashkortostan Republic, western Russia. The city is situated near the Belaya (White) river just beneath its confluence with the Ufa River.
• The initial name of the city was Tura-Tau, which was the name of the hill it was standing on. In the Turkish language, the present name “Ufa” means “small”. This name was used by the majority of local people.
• The city is considered as one of the largest industrial centres present in Russia. The local economy is highly dependable on machine building enterprises along with the fuel and energy industry.
• The city usually experiences warm summers and moderately long and cold winters.
