Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University
The Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is considered as a significant, premier, educational, scientific and cultural institution. It had served 80-year-long history. In the University, unified space of academic and professional education & research is created with the cooperation of students, professors, teachers and researchers. Numerous international projects are conducted by the University.
The University has close collaborations with leading higher educational institutions within and outside the country. BSU is considered as a desirable host for international scientific seminars or conferences and symposia held in various fields of medicine and science.
The mission of BSU relies on preparing the highly qualified, competitive specialists, a person with national & universal values and to become a strong educational-research centre; so that it can acquire a place in national & international space.
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU) is ranked at the Third University with its participation in the ERASMUS+ Exchange programs. It has a total of 9 faculties and also embraces the 3 research institutes.
The facilities and updated equipment are increasing at the University day by day. It constitutes about 273 professors, 71 researchers and 387 visiting professors. RSU offers a wide range of options to students at all the three stages of education: there are about 42 vocational, 43 Bachelor’s, 23 Master’s, 8 doctoral and 2 single-level programs.
The University preserves its traditional, fundamental fields and at the same time implements and develops new directions in response to the modern demands and requirements. The modern teachings methodologies including online learning are also widely used here.
Degree offered at BSU are globally recognized by regulatory bodies of different nations like the Medical Council of India (MCI), FAIMER, etc. and enlisted with the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS). Also, as an added advantage to all international students; especially Indian medical aspirants, the lectures are delivered in the English Language.

The University provides well-furnished hostel facility to International students. It is compulsory to stay in the University’s accommodation for the first year and from second year onwards, students have the liberty to choose his/her type of hostels.
The University has different creative groups that embrace women folk music shows, theatres, music band and choreographic ensemble.
The sports team of BSU is quite active towards the competitions on the national & international level. It has teams – Futsal team, Basketball team and sports sections are distinguished in the following categories- Arm wrestling section, Fencing, Volleyball, Sports & Modern Dance section.

- The transportation in Batumi is served by Batumi Airport, a bike-sharing scheme named ‘Batum Velo’ that allows you to rent a bicycle on the street with a smart card.
